The fourth annual conference will take place in late Fall 2020. Click here to express your interest. Keeping with the traditions of HKEEN, we will continue to deliberately keep the cost of the conference as low as we possibly can so that attendance is an option for as many individuals and organisations as possible. Please do not expect the typical conference luxuries; if it doesn't contribute towards the end goal of the conference, it isn't being provided. However, the fee will include refreshments and lunch on both days.

Who We Are

 The Hong Kong Experiential Education Network is a professional learning community of individuals who work within the experiential education industry in Asia; including schools, universities, service providers and NGOs.
 
You can read more about the founders here. Though both Richard Gerrish and Rob Garret have moved on, their mission lives on, and the HKEEN torch will remain lit by like-minded experiential educators based in Hong Kong.

Our History

In 2016, based upon repeated conversations about the need for greater collaboration and sharing within the experiential education community in Hong Kong, a small group of like-minded individuals decided to light a candle, rather than continue to curse the darkness.

The result was our inaugural conference on 3rd-4th December, 2016. A second conference on service learning and learning outcomes took place on 2-3 December, 2017. Our third conference took place on the Apr 13th-14, 2019.
